DISASTER RECOVERY

ZERMATT RESORT

A power outage caused the boiler to fail resulting in a major flood that affected the entire first floor of this beautiful upscale European lodge. All common areas, two corridors and 50 guest rooms were affected. A second flooding occurred when the power was restored and due to the fact that UDK was onsite, the new flow of water was extracted to prevent further damage from occurring.

SPRINGHILL SUITES / LODGING DYNAMICS

After being open for just two weeks, Moab’s newest gem, the Springhill Suites experienced a sewer loss. The contamination affected numerous rooms and common areas on three levels of the property. Attempts were made to located a local restoration contractor in the area, but in the end, UDK was brought in by Lodging Dynamics to make the 200 + mile commute to handle the cleanup.

The Hyatt House in Downtown Salt Lake City experienced a toilet overflow of category three contaminated water in one of their guest rooms. The contaminated water flowed throughout several guestrooms, corridors, hallways on two levels of the hotel and also the administrative offices.

JR. HIGH FIRE DAMAGE RECOVERY

A six-alarm fire broke out at Wasatch Jr. High in Salt Lake City, UT. The fire originated in a computer room. School officials attempted to extinguish the fire with local resources: however the fire quickly grew out of control, severely damaging 60% of the structure.
