EMBASSY SUITES
10333 SOUTH JORDAN PARKWAY • SOUTH JORDAN
The new Embassy Suites in South Jordan, Utah had just opened their doors when they experienced a trifecta of plumbing disasters.
The initial callout was due to a malfunction with a sewer riser on the third floor. Two guest suites and a hallway were impacted first with the overflow continuing down to the housekeeping storage and two additional guestrooms and a hallway on the first floor. UDK was called in to extract contaminated sources and remove and dispose of the flooring materials and drywall. All affected areas were then flushed and disinfected. Great care was taken to preserve specialty wallpaper so that it could be reapplied to the new drywall that was replaced after the mitigation was complete
Simultaneously, hotel management discovered mold growth from leaky ice machines and improper plumbing in some of the guestrooms. UDK was able to mitigate both problems and work with the original contractor as the issues were under warranty.
All three plumbing disasters were completed in a tight timeline with UDK meeting the expectations of this beautiful newly opened hotel.
