After being open for just two weeks, Moab’s newest gem, the Springhill Suites experienced a sewer loss. The contamination affected numerous rooms and common areas on three levels of the property. Attempts were made to locate a local restoration contractor in the area, but in the end, UDK was brought in by Lodging Dynamics to make the 200 + mile commute to handle the sewer loss cleanup.
UDK extracted the contaminated areas then removed and disposed of the flooring and drywall. Equipment was placed, and moisture levels monitored to minimize mold growth.
Nearly two weeks after the sewer loss cleanup commenced, a broken water line flooded multiple areas of the hotel. UDK again mobilized and drove southeast to Moab to complete the mitigation services. UDK collaborated with Moab tradesmen for the repair work to save the hotel money and boost the local economy.
The management team at the Moab Springhill Suites was very pleased with UDK’s ability to quickly return this new and popular hotel back to its pre-loss condition.
