Our Process
We have the largest and most experienced team of technicians in Utah. We confidently and quickly restore your property, following flood damage, while minimizing interruption to your life. UDK continuously invests in the latest disaster cleanup technology, training and specialty equipment to ensure proper repair. We restore residential and commercial spaces by taking the following steps to expedite rapid recovery:
1. Secure & Access
Upon arrival, we will obtain your authorization to begin mitigation services on the flood damage of your property. We evaluate all affected areas, beginning with the source, to establish the initial scope of work and outline the best course of action.
2. WATER EXTRACTION
We begin by extracting water to stop the spread of moisture. In a carpeted area, the wet carpet and padding may need to be removed and disposed. Any wet insulation, ceiling tiles, dry wall and all other absorbent materials will also be removed.
3. MOLD & MILDEW PREVENTION
UDK will apply an EPA–approved antimicrobial treatment to affected areas, inhibiting any bacterial reproduction. Rapid response reduces the risk of structural damage and mold. This treatment deodorizes as it sanitizes, and is safe for children and pets.
4. DEHUMIDIFICATION
We strategically place industrial air movers and dehumidifiers to accelerate evaporation. In addition, UDK monitors moisture levels to ensure the drying process is proceeding correctly and rapidly in order to prohibit mold and mildew growth.
5. PERSONAL PROPERTY CLEANING
We understand that every item in your home is precious and they will receive our greatest care. UDK’s advanced facilities are dedicated to cleaning and eliminating bacteria from your belongings. This process will also eliminate mold growth and odors.
6. RECONSTRUCTION
Once mitigation is complete, our team of professional contractors will begin reconstruction of walls, floors, ceilings, structural elements and woodwork to their pre-loss condition. We want your home to match your memory of it before the flood damage.
