Asbestos Abatement

Sometimes damage to building materials can result in the release of a hazardous material known as asbestos. Fortunately, this is something that UDK personnel are trained to handle and properly mitigate. UDK follows all state regulations in asbestos abatement, including required testing of materials prior to disruption.

Asbestos Abatement

What we can do for you

Disruption to building materials can result in the release of asbestos. UDK uses a third party to conduct testing to determine which materials contain asbestos.  From here, a plan is made to safely remove, reducing health risks to your family and other occupants.

Hazardous Materials Survey

Once a plan has been set in place and agreed upon, UDK technicians will begin setting up a regulated work area to contain the asbestos laden area. This is achieved by sealing air ducts, disabling HVAC systems and sheeting with plastic.

Set Up Regulated Word Area

Equipped with specialized abatement suits, technicians will dampen the area to minimize airborne particles and remove all asbestos-containing materials piece by piece. Each of these items will then be disposed of, strictly following OSHA regulation

Material Removal

Once all asbestos-containing materials have been removed from the area, UDK technicians will continue asbestos abatement by removing particulates with damp cloths and high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) vacuums.

Hepa Cleaning

While the HEPA vacuum does a great job at ridding the area of most asbestos, the microscopic size of asbestos fibers require air sampling equipment to monitor indoor environmental conditions and verify that no airborne asbestos fibers remain.

Air & Surface Sampling

Once our asbestos abatement team has concluded their thorough cleaning and air quality testing, they will label and dispose of all materials to a landfill qualified to receive asbestos waste, allowing you and your family to return to a safe home.
